The president's dog, Sugar, participated in the exclusive Pet Expo Fashion show 2008, a highly publicized and high fashion event for couture designers in the doggy fashion world (pictured left). Proceeds of over $40,000, from one of the fashion shows, went to animal charity. The dress that Sugar modeled won the Fashion Institute of Technology Swarovski Crystal design contest.

Heidi Wise, President Of Coddled Creatures, a long-time New Jersey "in home" pet care company, recently held a birthday party for her 4 year old pomeranian, Sugar. Among the many gifts that Sugar received from her pet friends and people guests was a monetary donation, made in Sugar's name, to the animal shelter Popcorn Park. Sugar, Heidi and her guests want all interested pet owners to know that any and all donations, to Popcorn Park, can go a long way toward helping animals less fortunate than Sugar and the many fortunate pets/pet owners in the area.

Sugar, a 4-year-old Pomeranian, attends a black tie formal
fund-raiser for dogs. She took along her 'best friend' Heidi
Wise, president of Coddled Creatures, a New Jersey in-home
pet care company. The formal benefited the Animal Haven
Shelter in New York City. Sugar attended in an elegant pink
satin and lace gown, with cascading mesh, beautifully
embellished with silver ribbon roses and a pink satin bow.
Sugar's gown was designed and handmade by Heidi.
